Food Drive and Distribution Services:

We receive, donate, and distribute non-perishable food to families and individuals in need through community food drives held at local churches, outreach programs, and community agencies.

·Project G.I.V.E. (Groceries for Immigrants/Veterans/Elderly): Earnest Heart Foundation assists veterans, immigrants, disabled adults, elderly, and retiree’s through the door-to-door distribution of fresh produce and groceries. Due to the unique challenges faced by this population, such as the lack of access to transportation, physical limitations, health problems, and social-emotional deficits; Earnest Heart volunteers pack bags of groceries with fresh produce, non-perishable food, and healthy snacks then deliver as supplies last to residents in Wake, Granville, Person, and Durham counties. These groceries can provide up to several nutritious meals and snacks to those in need.

·Project BackPack: Earnest Heart provides children experiencing food insecurities and neglect with pre-packed nutritious meals for weekends, school holidays, and early release days because these children will not have access to a school's free lunch and breakfast. Earnest Heart works with school social workers and counselors to identify students with specific needs, and then bags of food are delivered to schools to help mitigate food shortages and insecurities.
